A man is currently under arrest and being questioned at Greyfriars police station about a rape which happened in Stotfold in 1992.
Officers from the Beds, Herts and Cambs Major Crime Unit are dealing with the case, as it has been subject to work over a number of years by the Cold Case Team. In the incident, a local woman on her way home from church in October 1992 was subject to a violent attack.
The man was arrested in Scarborough yesterday (Sunday August 12) by North Yorkshire Police on behalf of the BHCMCU.
