found the door open and discovered that a mountain bike had been

Check that all doors and windows are locked at all times. Ensure that Security lighting covers the building. Make sure that any connecting doors in the house are secure at all times. Consider fitting a Garage Alarm. Valuable property can be secured in a cage or bolted to the ground. |
