Kitelands Recreation Ground - new play equipment

At the 18th June 2013 meeting of Public Land & Open Spaces Committee of Biggleswade Town Council, it was recommended that three new pieces of play equipment be provided. This replaced the previous larger scheme that was agreed by Council Members in 2009 but was never implemented.

The three pieces of equipment are:

4 metre climb net
Freeride
Aeroskate

No members of the public at the 18th June meeting were able to comment on the discussions concerning the equipment as only Councillors & Officers had pictures of the proposed equipment and the layout.

This week work has started on the installation of the equipment.

This partially installed piece of equipment appears to be the Freeride:

This is from the manufacturers :

With its roots in surfing, skateboarding and snowboarding Freeride is the ride to get them excited. Older children can stand on the "board" to ride whilst younger ones can remain seated even back-to-back. When stood you simply use the side support grab handles to support you as you flex through the hips to ride the waves. It's a challenging ride, requiring balance, skill and spatial awareness, however it's very inclusive. It has the strength of a traditional swing but takes up a lot less space. Most importantly kids love it.

I am not sure what this is the foundation for:
