Pavement Parking

Protect a pavement!

Help stop pavements disappearing from our neighbourhoods

Pavements up and down the UK are under threat from inconsiderate pavement parkers. Living Streets, the national charity that stands up for pedestrians, thinks that we should all be able to walk on pavements without worrying about vehicles blocking our way.

Yet vehicles parked on pavements are forcing people with pushchairs or children to walk unsafely in the road. And older people and those in wheelchairs can feel worried about leaving their homes as they feel unsafe walking down their own street.

Please take a moment to ask your readers and group members to join the Living Streets campaign and write to their local council or MSP.

Feel free to contact ruth.billingham@livingstreets.org.uk if you'd like further resources to help promote the campaign on your website such as downloadable posters, banner adverts and widgets.

Pavement parking has already been banned in London; together we can stamp it out across the country.
